The registration ID and password you received are meant to be traded-in for a username generated automatically by our system, and a password of your choosing.
To register:
- Go to the registration page [1]
- Enter your registration ID and password. If you cut and paste, be sure not to include any extra blank spaces or formatting characters.
- If you have an existing ScienceDirect profile, you will be asked to associate this to your Ambassador Account. Once the association has taken place, you may then continue to use ScienceDirect.
- If you are a new user to ScienceDircct, you will be asked to complete the Registration form.
- Your user name will be automatically generated in the form of firstnamelastname, with, in some cases, a number appended at the end; for example, johnsmith3. All characters in your username will be in lower case and there will be no spaces.You can select your own password.
- Once registered, you can change your password, modify your personal registration details and make changes to your personal journal list and alerts at any time by clicking on My Settings [2].
