ScienceDirect has added a new section to the journal alerts (formerly known as volume/issue alerts) to offer subscribers the earliest possible notification of new research. While alert subscribers already benefit from receiving a notification when a new volume of a book or a new issue of a journal becomes available on ScienceDirect, a section to offer Articles-in-Press (AiP) has been added to the alert.
AiPs are articles which have been peer-reviewed and accepted for publication, but not yet officially published as part of a formal journal issue. The inclusion of AiPs within the alert offers of a title’s new publications in a single convenient package.
